And Babylon； the glory of kingdoms； the beauty of the Chaldees' excellency； shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah。
13：20其内必永无人烟，世世代代无人居住。阿拉伯人也不在那里支搭帐蓬。牧羊的人，也不使羊群卧在那里。
It shall never be inhabited； neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation： neither shall the Arabian pitch tent there； neither shall the shepherds make their fold there。
13：21只有旷野的走兽卧在那里。咆哮的兽满了房屋。鸵鸟住在那里。野山羊在那里跳舞。
But wild beasts of the desert shall lie there； and their houses shall be full of doleful creatures； and owls shall dwell there； and satyrs shall dance there。
13：22豺狼必在他宫中呼号。野狗必在他华美殿内吼叫。巴比伦受罚的时候临近，他的日子，必不长久。
And the wild beasts of the islands shall cry in their desolate houses； and dragons in their pleasant palaces： and her time is near to e； and her days shall not be prolonged。

14：1耶和华要怜恤雅各，必再捡选以色列，将他们安置在本地。寄居的必与他们联合，紧贴雅各家。
For the LORD will have mercy on Jacob； and will yet choose Israel； and set them in their own land： and the strangers shall be joined with them； and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob。
14：2外邦人必将他们带回本土。以色列家必在耶和华的地上得外邦人为仆婢。也要掳掠先前掳掠他们的，辖制先前欺压他们的。
And the people shall take them； and bring them to their place： and the house of Israel shall possess them in the land of the LORD for servants and handmaids： and they shall take them captives； whose captives they were； and they shall rule over their oppressors。
14：3当耶和华使你脱离愁苦，烦恼，并人勉强你作的苦工，得享安息的日子，
And it shall e to pass in the day that the LORD shall give thee rest from thy sorrow； and from thy fear； and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to serve；
14：4你必题这诗歌论巴比伦王说，欺压人的何竟息灭，强暴的何竟止息。
That thou shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon； and say； How hath the oppressor ceased！ the golden city ceased！
14：5耶和华折断了恶人的杖，辖制人的圭，
The LORD hath broken the staff of the wicked； and the sceptre of the rulers。
14：6就是在忿怒中连连攻击众民的，在怒气中辖制列国，行逼迫无人阻止的。
He who smote the people in wrath with a continual stroke； he that ruled the nations in anger； is persecuted； and none hindereth。
14：7现在全地得安息，享平静。人皆发声欢呼。
The whole earth is at rest； and is quiet： they break forth into singing。
14：8松树和黎巴嫩的香柏树，都因你欢乐，说，自从你仆倒，再无人上来砍伐我们。
Yea； the fir trees rejoice at thee； and the cedars of Lebanon； saying； Since thou art laid down； no feller is e up against us。
14：9你下到阴间，阴间就因你震动，来迎接你。又因你惊动在世曾为首领的阴魂，并使那曾为列国君王的，都离位站起。
Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet thee at thy ing： it stirreth up the dead for thee； even all the chief ones of the earth； it hath raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations。
14：10他们都要发言对你说，你也变为软弱，像我们一样吗。你也成了我们的样子吗。
All they shall speak and say unto thee； Art thou also bee weak as we？ art thou bee like unto us？
14：11你的威势，和你琴瑟的声音，都下到阴间。你下铺的是虫，上盖的是蛆。
Thy pomp is brought down to the grave； and the noise of thy viols： the worm is spread under thee； and the worms cover thee。
14：12明亮之星，早晨之子阿，你何竟从天坠落。你这攻败列国的，何竟被砍倒在地上。
How art thou fallen from heaven； O Lucifer； son of the morning！ how art thou cut down to the ground； which didst weaken the nations！
14：13你心里曾说，我要升到天上。我要高举我的宝座在神众星以上。我要坐在聚会的山上，在北方的极处，
For thou hast said in thine heart； I will ascend into heaven； I will exalt my throne above the stars of God： I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation； in the sides of the north：
14：14我要升到高云之上。我要与至上者同等。
I will ascend above the heights of the clouds； I will be like the most High。
14：15然而你必坠落阴间，到坑中极深之处。
Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell； to the sides of the pit。
14：16凡看见你的，都要定睛看你，留意看你，说，使大地战抖，使列国震动，
They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee； and consider thee； saying； Is this the man that made the earth to tremble； that did shake kingdoms；
14：17使世界如同荒野，使城邑倾覆，不释放被掳的人归家，是这个人吗。
That made the world as a wilderness； and destroyed the cities thereof； that opened not the house of his prisoners？
14：18列国的君王俱各在自己阴宅的荣耀中安睡。
All the kings of the nations； even all of them； lie in glory； every one in his own house。
14：19惟独你被抛弃，不得入你的坟墓，好像可憎的枝子。以被杀的人为衣，就是被刀刺透，坠落坑中石头那里的。你又像被践踏的尸首一样。
But thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch； and as the raiment of those that are slain； thrust through with a sword； that go down to the stones of the pit； as a carcase trodden under feet。
14：20你不得与君王同葬，因为你败坏你的国，杀戮你的民。恶人后裔的名，必永不题说。
Thou shalt not be joined with them in burial； because thou hast destroyed thy land； and slain thy people： the seed of evildoers shall never be renowned。
14：21先人既有罪孽，就要豫备杀戮他的子孙，免得他们兴起来，得了遍地，在世上修满城邑。
Prepare slaughter for his children for the iniquity of their fathers； that they do not rise； nor possess the land； nor fill the face of the world with cities。
14：22万军之耶和华说，我必兴起攻击他们，将巴比伦的名号，和所馀剩的人，连子带孙一并剪除。这是耶和华说的。
For I will rise up against them； saith the LORD of hosts； and cut off from Babylon the name； and remnant； and son； and nephew； saith the LORD。
14：23我必使巴比伦为箭猪所得，又变为水池。我要用灭亡的扫帚扫净他。这是万军之耶和华说的。
I will also make it a possession for the bittern； and pools of water： and I will sweep it with the besom of destruction； saith the LORD of hosts。
14：24万军之耶和华起誓，说，我怎样思想，必照样成就。我怎样定意，必照样成立。
The LORD of hosts hath sworn； saying； Surely as I have thought； so shall it e to pass； and as I have purposed； so shall it stand：
14：25就是在我地上打折亚述人，在我山上将他践踏，他加的轭，必离开以色列人。他加的重担，必离开他们的肩头。
That I will break the Assyrian in my land； and upon my mountains tread him under foot： then shall his yoke depart from off them； and his burden depart from off their shoulders。
14：26这是向全地所定的旨意。这是向万国所伸出的手。
This is the purpose that is purposed upon the whole earth： and this is the hand that is stretched out upon all the nations。
14：27万军之耶和华既然定意，谁能废弃呢。他的手已经伸出，谁能转回呢。
For the LORD of hosts hath purposed； and who shall disannul it？ and his hand is stretched out； and who shall turn it back？
14：28亚哈斯王崩的那年，就有以下的默示。
In the year that king Ahaz died was this burden。
14：29非利士全地阿，不要因击打你的仗折断就喜乐。因为从蛇的根，必生出毒蛇。他所生的，是火焰的飞龙。
Rejoice not thou； whole Palestina； because the rod of him that smote thee is broken： for out of the serpent's root shall e forth a cockatrice； and his fruit shall be a fiery flying serpent。
14：30贫寒人的长子，必有所食，穷乏人必安然躺卧。我必以饥荒，治死你的根，你所馀剩的人，必被杀戮。
And the firstborn of the poor shall feed； and the needy shall lie down in safety： and I will kill thy root with famine； and he shall slay thy remnant。
14：31门哪，应当哀号。城阿，应当呼喊。非利士全地阿，你都消化了。因为有烟从北方出来，他行伍中必无乱队的。
Howl； O gate； cry； O city； thou； whole Palestina； art dissolved： for there shall e from the north a smoke； and none shall be alone in his appointed times。
14：32可怎样回答外邦的使者呢。（外邦或指非利士）必说，耶和华建立了锡安，他百姓中的困苦人，必投奔在其中。
What shall one then answer the messengers of the nation？ That the LORD hath founded Zion； and the poor of his people shall trust in it。
