38：22你曾进入雪库。或见过雹仓吗。
Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow？ or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail；
38：23这雪雹乃是我为降灾，并打仗和争战的日子所预备的。
Which I have reserved against the time of trouble； against the day of battle and war？
38：24光亮从何路分开。东风从何路分散遍地。
By what way is the light parted； which scattereth the east wind upon the earth？
38：25谁为雨水分道。谁为雷电开路。
Who hath divided a watercourse for the overflowing of waters； or a way for the lightning of thunder；
38：26使雨降在无人之地，无人居住的旷野。
To cause it to rain on the earth； where no man is； on the wilderness； wherein there is no man；
38：27使荒废凄凉之地得以丰足，青草得以发生。
To satisfy the desolate and waste ground； and to cause the bud of the tender herb to spring forth？
38：28雨有父吗。露水珠是谁生的呢。
Hath the rain a father？ or who hath begotten the drops of dew？
38：29冰出于谁的胎。天上的霜是谁生的呢。
Out of whose womb came the ice？ and the hoary frost of heaven； who hath gendered it？
38：30诸水坚硬（或作隐藏）如石头，深渊之面凝结成冰。
The waters are hid as with a stone； and the face of the deep is frozen。
38：31你能系住昴星的结吗。能解开叁星的带吗。
Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades； or loose the bands of Orion？
38：32你能按时领出十二宫吗。能引导北斗和随它的众星（星原文作子）吗。
Canst thou bring forth Mazzaroth in his season？ or canst thou guide Arcturus with his sons？
38：33你知道天的定例吗。能使地归在天的权下吗。
Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven？ canst thou set the dominion thereof in the earth？
38：34你能向云彩扬起声来，使倾盆的雨遮盖你吗。
Canst thou lift up thy voice to the clouds； that abundance of waters may cover thee？
38：35你能发出闪电，叫它行去，使它对你说，我们在这里。
Canst thou send lightnings； that they may go； and say unto thee； Here we are？
38：36谁将智慧放在怀中。谁将聪明赐于心内。
Who hath put wisdom in the inward parts？ or who hath given understanding to the heart？
38：37谁能用智慧数算云彩呢。尘土聚集成团，土块紧紧结连。
Who can number the clouds in wisdom？ or who can stay the bottles of heaven；
38：38那时，谁能倾倒天上的瓶呢。
When the dust groweth into hardness； and the clods cleave fast together？
38：39母狮子在洞中蹲伏，少壮狮子在隐密处埋伏。
Wilt thou hunt the prey for the lion？ or fill the appetite of the young lions；
38：40你能为它们抓取食物，使它们饱足吗。
When they couch in their dens； and abide in the covert to lie in wait？
38：41乌鸦之雏因无食物飞来飞去，哀告神。那时，谁为它预备食物呢。
Who provideth for the raven his food？ when his young ones cry unto God； they wander for lack of meat。

39：1山岩间的野山羊几时生产，你知道吗。母鹿下犊之期，你能察定吗。
Knowest thou the time when the wild goats of the rock bring forth？ or canst thou mark when the hinds do calve？
39：2它们怀胎的月数，你能数算吗。它们几时生产，你能晓得吗。
Canst thou number the months that they fulfil？ or knowest thou the time when they bring forth？
39：3它们屈身，将子生下，就除掉疼痛。
They bow themselves； they bring forth their young ones； they cast out their sorrows。
39：4这子渐渐肥壮，在荒野长大，去而不回。
Their young ones are in good liking； they grow up with corn； they go forth； and return not unto them。
39：5谁放野驴出去自由。谁解开快驴的绳索。
Who hath sent out the wild ass free？ or who hath loosed the bands of the wild ass？
39：6我使旷野作它的住处，使咸地当它的居所。
Whose house I have made the wilderness； and the barren land his dwellings。
39：7它嗤笑城内的喧囔，不听赶牲口的喝声。
He scorneth the multitude of the city； neither regardeth he the crying of the driver。
39：8遍山是它的草场。它寻梢各样青绿之物。
The range of the mountains is his pasture； and he searcheth after every green thing。
39：9野牛岂肯服事你。岂肯住在你的槽旁。
Will the unicorn be willing to serve thee； or abide by thy crib？
39：10你岂能用套绳将野牛笼在犁沟之间。它岂肯随你耙山谷之地。
Canst thou bind the unicorn with his band in the furrow？ or will he harrow the valleys after thee？
39：11岂可因它的力大就倚靠它。岂可把你的工交给它做吗。
Wilt thou trust him； because his strength is great？ or wilt thou leave thy labour to him？
39：12岂可信靠它把你的粮食运到家，又收聚你禾场上的谷吗。
Wilt thou believe him； that he will bring home thy seed； and gather it into thy barn？
39：13鸵鸟的翅膀欢然扇展，岂是显慈爱的翎毛和羽毛吗。
Gavest thou the goodly wings unto the peacocks？ or wings and feathers unto the ostrich？
39：14因它把蛋留在地上，在尘土中使得温暖。
Which leaveth her eggs in the earth； and warmeth them in dust；
39：15却想不到被脚踹碎，或被野兽践踏。
And forgetteth that the foot may crush them； or that the wild beast may break them。
39：16它忍心待雏，似乎不是自己的。虽然徒受劳苦，也不为雏惧怕。
She is hardened against her young ones； as though they were not hers： her labour is in vain without fear；
39：17因为神使它没有智慧，也未将悟性赐给它。
Because God hath deprived her of wisdom； neither hath he imparted to her understanding。
39：18它几时挺身展开翅膀，就嗤笑马和骑马的人。
What time she lifteth up herself on high； she scorneth the horse and his rider。
39：19马的大力是你所赐的吗。它颈项上？？挲的鬃是你给它披上的吗。
Hast thou given the horse strength？ hast thou clothed his neck with thunder？
39：20是你叫它跳跃像蝗虫吗。它喷气之威使人惊惶。
Canst thou make him afraid as a grasshopper？ the glory of his nostrils is terrible。
39：21它在谷中刨地，自喜其力。它出去迎接佩带兵器的人。
He paweth in the valley； and rejoiceth in his strength： he goeth on to meet the armed men。
39：22它嗤笑可怕的事并不惊惶，也不因刀剑退回。
He mocketh at fear； and is not affrighted； neither turneth he back from the sword。
39：23箭袋和发亮的枪，并短枪在它身上铮铮有声。
The quiver rattleth against him； the glittering spear and the shield。
39：24它发猛烈的怒气将地吞下。一听角声就不耐站立。
He swalloweth the ground with fierceness and rage： neither believeth he that it is the sound of the trumpet。
39：25角每发声，它说呵哈。它从远处闻着战气，又听见军长大发雷声，和兵丁呐喊。
He saith among the trumpets； Ha； ha； and he smelleth the battle afar off； the thunder of the captains； and the shouting。
39：26鹰雀飞翔，展开翅膀一直向南，岂是藉你的智慧吗。
Doth the hawk fly by thy wisdom； and stretch her wings toward the south？
39：27大鹰上腾在高处搭窝，岂是听你的吩咐吗。
Doth the eagle mount up at thy mand； and make her nest on high？
39：28它住在山岩，以山峰和坚固之所为家，
She dwelleth and abideth on the rock； upon the crag of the rock； and the strong place。
39：29从那里窥看食物，眼睛远远观望。
From thence she seeketh the prey； and her eyes behold afar off。
39：30它的雏也咂血。被杀的人在那里。它也在那里。
Her young ones also suck up blood： and where the slain are； there is she。

40：1耶和华又对约伯说，
Moreover the LORD answered Job； and said；
40：2强辩的岂可与全能者争论吗。与神辩驳的可以回答这些吧。
Shall he that contendeth with the Almighty instruct him？ he that reproveth God； let him answer it。
40：3于是，约伯回答耶和华说，
Then Job answered the LORD； and said；
40：4我是卑贱的。我用什么回答你呢。只好用手捂口。
Behold； I am vile； what shall I answer thee？ I will lay mine hand upon my mouth。
40：5我说了一次，再不回答。说了两次，就不再说。
Once have I spoken； but I will not answer： yea； twice； but I will proceed no further。
40：6于是，耶和华从旋风中回答约伯说，
Then answered the LORD unto Job out of the whirlwind； and said；
40：7你要如勇士束腰。我问你，你可以指示我。
Gird up thy loins now like a man： I will demand of thee； and declare thou unto me。
40：8你岂可废弃我所拟定的。岂可定我有罪，好显自己为义吗。
Wilt thou also disannul my judgment？ wilt thou condemn me； that thou mayest be righteous？
40：9你有神那样的膀臂吗。你能像他发雷声吗。
Hast thou an arm like God？ or canst thou thunder with a voice like him？
40：10你要以荣耀庄严为妆饰，以尊荣威严为衣服。
Deck thyself now with majesty and excellency； and array thyself with glory and beauty。
40：11要发出你满溢的怒气，见一切骄傲的人，使他降卑。
Cast abroad the rage of thy wrath： and behold every one that is proud； and abase him。
40：12见一切骄傲的人，将他制伏，把恶人践踏在本处。
