24：4但王的命令胜过约押和众军长。约押和众军长就从王面前出去，数点以色列的百姓。
Notwithstanding the king's word prevailed against Joab； and against the captains of the host。 And Joab and the captains of the host went out from the presence of the king； to number the people of Israel。
24：5他们过了约旦河，在迦得谷中，城的右边亚罗珥安营，与雅谢相对，
And they passed over Jordan； and pitched in Aroer； on the right side of the city that lieth in the midst of the river of Gad； and toward Jazer：
24：6又到了基列和他停合示地，又到了但雅安，绕到西顿，
Then they came to Gilead； and to the land of Tahtimhodshi； and they came to Danjaan； and about to Zidon；
24：7来到推罗的保障，并希未人和迦南人的各城，又到犹大南方的别是巴。
And came to the strong hold of Tyre； and to all the cities of the Hivites； and of the Canaanites： and they went out to the south of Judah； even to Beersheba。
24：8他们走遍全地，过了九个月零二十天，就回到耶路撒冷。
So when they had gone through all the land； they came to Jerusalem at the end of nine months and twenty days。
24：9约押将百姓的总数奏告于王，以色列拿刀的勇士有八十万。犹大有五十万。
And Joab gave up the sum of the number of the people unto the king： and there were in Israel eight hundred thousand valiant men that drew the sword； and the men of Judah were five hundred thousand men。
24：10大卫数点百姓以后，就心中自责，祷告耶和华说，我行这事大有罪了。耶和华阿，求你除掉仆人的罪孽，因我所行的甚是愚昧。
And David's heart smote him after that he had numbered the people。 And David said unto the LORD； I have sinned greatly in that I have done： and now； I beseech thee； O LORD； take away the iniquity of thy servant； for I have done very foolishly。
24：11大卫早晨起来，耶和华的话临到先知迦得，就是大卫的先见，说，
For when David was up in the morning； the word of the LORD came unto the prophet Gad； David's seer； saying；
24：12你去告诉大卫，说耶和华如此说，我有三样灾，随你选择一样，我好降与你。
Go and say unto David； Thus saith the LORD； I offer thee three things； choose thee one of them； that I may do it unto thee。
24：13于是迦得来见大卫，对他说，你愿意国中有七年的饥荒呢。是在你敌人面前逃跑，被追赶三个月呢。是在你国中有三日的瘟疫呢。现在你要揣摩思想，我好回覆那差我来的。
So Gad came to David； and told him； and said unto him； Shall seven years of famine e unto thee in thy land？ or wilt thou flee three months before thine enemies； while they pursue thee？ or that there be three days' pestilence in thy land？ now advise； and see what answer I shall return to him that sent me。
24：14大卫对迦得说，我甚为难。我愿落在耶和华的手里，因为他有丰盛的怜悯。我不愿落在人的手里。
And David said unto Gad； I am in a great strait： let us fall now into the hand of the LORD； for his mercies are great： and let me not fall into the hand of man。
24：15于是，耶和华降瘟疫与以色列人，自早晨到所定的时候。从但直到别是巴，民间死了七万人。
So the LORD sent a pestilence upon Israel from the morning even to the time appointed： and there died of the people from Dan even to Beersheba seventy thousand men。
24：16天使向耶路撒冷伸手要灭城的时候，耶和华后悔，就不降这灾了，吩咐灭民的天使说，够了，住手吧。那时耶和华的使者在耶布斯人亚劳拿的禾场那里。
And when the angel stretched out his hand upon Jerusalem to destroy it； the LORD repented him of the evil； and said to the angel that destroyed the people； It is enough： stay now thine hand。 And the angel of the LORD was by the threshingplace of Araunah the Jebusite。
24：17大卫看见灭民的天使，就祷告耶和华说，我犯了罪，行了恶。但这群羊作了什么呢。愿你的手攻击我和我的父家。
And David spake unto the LORD when he saw the angel that smote the people； and said； Lo； I have sinned； and I have done wickedly： but these sheep； what have they done？ let thine hand； I pray thee； be against me； and against my father's house。
24：18当日，迦得来见大卫，对他说，你上去，在耶布斯人亚劳拿的禾场上为耶和华筑一座坛。
And Gad came that day to David； and said unto him； Go up； rear an altar unto the LORD in the threshingfloor of Araunah the Jebusite。
24：19大卫就照着迦得奉耶和华名所说的话上去了。
And David； according to the saying of Gad； went up as the LORD manded。
24：20亚劳拿观看，见王和他臣仆前来，就迎接出去，脸伏于地，向王下拜，
And Araunah looked； and saw the king and his servants ing on toward him： and Araunah went out； and bowed himself before the king on his face upon the ground。
24：21说，我主我王为何来到仆人这里呢。大卫说，我要买你这禾场，为耶和华筑一座坛，使民间的瘟疫止住。
And Araunah said； Wherefore is my lord the king e to his servant？ And David said； To buy the threshingfloor of thee； to build an altar unto the LORD； that the plague may be stayed from the people。
24：22亚劳拿对大卫说，我主我王，你喜悦用什么，就拿去献祭。看哪，这里有牛可以作燔祭，有打粮的器具和套牛的轭可以当柴烧。
And Araunah said unto David； Let my lord the king take and offer up what seemeth good unto him： behold； here be oxen for burnt sacrifice； and threshing instruments and other instruments of the oxen for wood。
24：23王阿，这一切，我亚劳拿都奉给你。又对王说，愿耶和华你的神悦纳你。
All these things did Araunah； as a king； give unto the king。 And Araunah said unto the king； The LORD thy God accept thee。
24：24王对亚劳拿说，不然。我必要按着价值向你买。我不肯用白得之物作燔祭献给耶和华我的神。大卫就用五十舍客勒银子买了那禾场与牛。
And the king said unto Araunah； Nay； but I will surely buy it of thee at a price： neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the LORD my God of that which doth cost me nothing。 So David bought the threshingfloor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver。
24：25大卫在那里为耶和华筑了一座坛，献燔祭和平安祭。如此，耶和华垂听国民所求的，瘟疫在以色列人中就止住了。
And David built there an altar unto the LORD； and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings。 So the LORD was intreated for the land； and the plague was stayed from Israel。

1：1大卫王年纪老迈，虽用被遮盖，仍不觉暖。
Now king David was old and stricken in years； and they covered him with clothes； but he gat no heat。
1：2所以臣仆对他说，不如为我主我王寻梢一个处女，使她伺候王，奉养王，睡在王的怀中，好叫我主我王得暖。
Wherefore his servants said unto him； Let there be sought for my lord the king a young virgin： and let her stand before the king； and let her cherish him； and let her lie in thy bosom； that my lord the king may get heat。
1：3于是在以色列全境寻梢美貌的童女，寻得书念的一个童女亚比煞，就带到王那里。
So they sought for a fair damsel throughout all the coasts of Israel； and found Abishag a Shunammite； and brought her to the king。
1：4这童女极其美貌，她奉养王，伺候王，王却没有与她亲近。
And the damsel was very fair； and cherished the king； and ministered to him： but the king knew her not。
1：5那时，哈及的儿子亚多尼雅自尊，说，我必作王，就为自己预备车辆，马兵，又派五十人在他前头奔走。
Then Adonijah the son of Haggith exalted himself； saying； I will be king： and he prepared him chariots and horsemen； and fifty men to run before him。
1：6他父亲素来没有使他忧闷，说，你是作什么呢。他甚俊美，生在押沙龙之后。
And his father had not displeased him at any time in saying； Why hast thou done so？ and he also was a very goodly man； and his mother bare him after Absalom。
1：7亚多尼雅与洗鲁雅的儿子约押，和祭司亚比亚他商议。二人就顺从他，帮助他。
And he conferred with Joab the son of Zeruiah； and with Abiathar the priest： and they following Adonijah helped him。
1：8但祭司撒督，耶何耶大的儿子比拿雅，先知拿单，示每，利以，并大卫的勇士都不顺从亚多尼雅。
But Zadok the priest； and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada； and Nathan the prophet； and Shimei； and Rei； and the mighty men which belonged to David； were not with Adonijah。
1：9一日，亚多尼雅在隐罗结旁，琐希列磐石那里宰了牛羊，肥犊，请他的诸弟兄，就是王的众子，并所有作王臣仆的犹大人。
And Adonijah slew sheep and oxen and fat cattle by the stone of Zoheleth； which is by Enrogel； and called all his brethren the king's sons； and all the men of Judah the king's servants：
1：10惟独先知拿单和比拿雅并勇士，与他的兄弟所罗门，他都没有请。
But Nathan the prophet； and Benaiah； and the mighty men； and Solomon his brother； he called not。
1：11拿单对所罗门的母亲拔示巴说，哈及的儿子亚多尼雅作王了，你没有听见吗。我们的主大卫却不知道。
